From MAY 1st to 5th
May, the Third Transnational Mobility of the Erasmus + Project
"PRET - A - PET" was
held at the "ISTITUTO COMPRENSIVO di SAN FELE" with the involvement
of the Secondary School of San Fele, Rapone and Ruvo del Monte.
The Delegations of Teachers and Students of the 5 European Schools from Turkey, Greece,
Romania and France were hosted by our Institute.
It was a week of hard work and commitments but also of great enthusiasm
for students, teachers and families who met new Friends from other Nations.
The Project is based on the relationship between man and animal and
wants to promote the respect and protection of all living beings by increasing
empathy and tenderness. The purpose of our participation is to motivate
students to cooperate and develop good models of empathy towards the
environment, people, nature and animals.
Our work plan has been focused on various laboratory activities, as set
out in the "PRET A PET" Project.
All students were involved in creative, artistic, musical, digital and
computer lab activities:
- Welcome ceremony at San Fele Institute
- "Animal Detective" photo campaign: exhibition
of the best photos to be displayed in the "PRET-A-PET CALENDAR"
- Presentations of
the activity from each participant school:
"Becoming an Entrepreuner for the Animals" Business Model: presenting the strategy
- Painting the Wall of Friendship: making a graphic scenario for the movie of
PRET-A-PET, applying the metaphor "In our sight, in our mind"
- Understandindg
CPS : Collaborative Problem-Solving task on the "Inside Out" Concept.
Webquest task-collaboration, preparation for the e-chained story
- Cultural evening, stands and certificates
All students of the
Secondary School participated to the "Welcome ceremony" presenting
their songs, poems, choreographies on the themes of the respect for animals.
The Students of San Fele
classes presented the theatrical performance "THE GREEN CIRCUS", a
musical in English/Italian language to promote the idea of an ecological circus
where fun has to be offered by skills of artists and not by the exploitation
and torture of animals.
The activity involved all
students of the three classes by implementing interdisciplinarity, inclusion,
cooperation, group work in a climate and a spirit of openness, sharing and
enthusiasm.
During the stay of the
European Delegations at our School were also organized some cultural visits of
the most representative historical, artistic and monumental places of our Territory
and our Basilicata Region. It has been visited the city of Matera, the European
Capital of Culture in 2019;
Melfi with its Castle and the Cathedral;
the city
of Potenza with its Cathedral, the "Teatro Stabile", the Church of
St. Francesco; the Waterfalls of San Fele, the Mother Church, the Sanctuary of
Pierno.
Finally, students and teachers visited the Falcons Park "De Arte
Venandi" in Melfi.
On May 1st , the
European Guests visited the city of Matera, the European Capital of Culture in
2019 and UNESCO heritage. On the second day at San Fele School, in the presence of civil and military
authorities, the Headmistress Carmelina Gallipoli, started the official welcome ceremony and the programmed lab activities. Some European
Students have been hosted by the students families in San Fele.
At the end of the stay in
San Fele, the "intercultural evening" was held, during which were
delivered to Teachers and Students of
the European Schools the Certificates of Attendance to the Mobility in Italy by
the Headmistress Carmelina Gallipoli.
All together had great time
during the culture night: tasting foods from different countries, singing and
dancing too. The European stands were set up, showing the characteristics of
each Country; the families of our students prepared and offered to all
participants the typical products of our territory.
Traditional and modern
dances were performed by the European
students and also by our students.
To conclude, the music Teachers
Maucione, Catenacci and Tronnolone, performed a Classical Music Concert.
It was a great time for
everyone, students, teachers and families met new Friends from different
Countries, experiencing and sharing new situations and opinions.
The Mobility in Italy, at
our School, was a great attraction for all participants, the work atmosphere
was pleasant, relaxed and goal-oriented.
