Between 19th March and 25th March 2017, a group of four students with their four teachers
and the Headmistress from the "ISTITUTO COMPRENSIVO DI SAN FELE"
secondary school , ITALY, participated
to the activities related to the second Mobility of ”PRET-A-PET” project, at ‘SAINTE-MARIE Lycée Professionnel Privé in
Bagnoles-sur-Ceze, France.
Sunday, March 19 : arrival to the airport in Lyon and
after a long day of travelling, from a train
to a tram, to a minibus , in the late evening, we finally arrived to the Gite in Pont Saint Esprit -
Gard Ardèche, very tired, but happy to
meet new Friends from Turkey, Greece, Romania and France.
The accomodation wasn't good for us, the essential comforts were
lacking.
So the next day we had to find and accomodate to another Hotel in Bagnol.
Monday, March 20: reception at
the Lycée Sainte Marie, meeting with the Headmaster, school visit ( training
students in chemistry, construction engineering, nursing babies and toddlers,
sales and shop managment, business managment, etc.).
In the afternoon the coordinator Alina Pectu
Keskin presented the activities to be carried the following days.
Tuesday, March 21: we had some
visits related to the project: going
to Uzès to visit a stud farm; visit of
Pont du Gard with a packed lunch on the site. Later in the afternoon the visit of a bull farm, travelling by
tractor, in Bellegarde.
Dinner to the school canteen . Free time in
Bagnol.
We were four students ( Donato,
Alessio, Antonella, Francesca) , and presented our idea of the "SOLIDARITY
MARKET".
We had another activity: a brainstorming on the senario of the social
experiment "Animal Abuse against Cruelty", then we filmed the scenes.
Thursday, March 23:
preparation and realisation of the "Painting Wall of Friendship.
Realization of some slogans translated into 6 languages and
the MARATHON in the Park.
Friday, March 24: The last day of activities:
" the Ambassador of the day Photo Exhibition: gallery touring to see
gorgeous animals starring in different poses or interacting with their human
friends; we voted the best photos for the first 6 pages of the PRET - A
PET Calendar.
Cultural evening and certificates
awarding ceremony:
We tasted food from each country,
there were the school's stands and we experienced
foods and beverages; we looked over brochures to discover the places of origin
of the participants; we discovered our partner schools and their folkloristic
dances; we received the certificates of
the French meeting.
In these days the most interesting
thing was to meet new students and teachers, we experienced new situations and
shared opinion too. We worked about the topics of the project and we were
satisfied for what we have done. We shared our opinions and activities about the defence and protection of the animals.
We had some curious visits such
as the bull farm and we assisted to their competition.
We enjoyed the visit to Avignone.
In the cultural night we tasted
the different foods from the different countries, we listened to the
traditional songs and dances.
This
mobility gave us the possibility to know new friends involved in the
project, new cultures, places,
traditions, and this was the positive aspect of this experience.
We were a little worried
because in those days we didn't have the
possibility to know much the French students and share opinions with them.
The school staff and students
didn't take much part to the activities, they didn’t speak English so we
could't communicate with them.
The cultural visits weren't
organized well and also the transportation by bus.
The first day when we arrived, the sleeping
conditions weren't good; the school wasn't well organized for carrying the activities
planned .
The food (lunch and dinner) we ate all days at the school canteen wasn't on our taste. In conclusion, apart from the bad things we
didn't like, the groupe from Italy was impressed by the beauty of this country, it
was an enrichment for all of us.
