The Comprehensive Institute of San Fele – secondary  School  participated to the fourth transnational mobility of the ERASMUS + PRET A PET project

The mobility in Romania included the presence of 4 Teachers and 4 students of Class III D and III E (De Bellis S., Pierri MF, Luisi A., Repole E.),  accompanied by the School Manager L. Rispoli, the coordinator of the project F. Petruzzelli  and the two teachers, M. Pierri and F. Ferraro.

During this mobility  various workshops and seminars were organized and carried out by teachers and students:

Seminar on assertive communication;

Our students, with enthusiasm and interest, participated to all the activities, developing their curiosity and attention to nature, with increased collaboration spirit, increasing their communicative and interactive skills in English and their skills digital. They also illustrated:

a digital presentation (Ppt) on the country, region, school,  hobbies  and favourite animals;

they  participated with their classes at the international competition "Short film competition", for the creation of a story about "human-animal-environment empathy" which was represented and filmed.

The stay in Romania has included other activities too :

the visit to the  school “Anton Pann”  and  official ceremony with the presentation of the schools of the 5 countries; meetings with the local authorities, the Mayor, the Minister of Education of the City of Valcea;

cultural visits  of the most important historical, artistic and monumental places of the capital Bucharest and of the Parliament Palace;

visit of the "Hippodrome Center";

visit  of Ramnicu Valcea and its Town Hall;

visit of the medieval city of Sibiu.

There were also moments of reflection and study about the activities to be carried out in the next stages of the project.

In the intercultural evening, stands were set up where the hosted countries showed the most important aspects of their culture with the display of products and brochures.

Our students wore the traditional Sanfelese clothes and then presented a modern choreography. Everything was done in a climate of friendship, cheerfulness and conviviality.

This stay has allowed us to appreciate the beauty of new places, finding hospitality, friendliness and new friendships, so that the culture and the human experience of each one has grown and enriched.

In their travel diaries, the pupils have described this experience as “unforgettable” for various reasons:

first flight by plane and visit to a European country;

 knowledge of peers from other nationalities;

communication in English;

the discovery of new cultures and traditions;

 sharing  opinions with other peers about the protection of animals.

This meeting  allowed us to know and  confront us with new realities, appreciating the different cultures and ways of life of the twin countries, with a spirit of understanding, acceptance, tolerance and friendship.

Surely this growth will continue in the next meetings: Turkey (4-10 March), Greece (May 7-12).

Activities for Romania Meeting

PICNIC WITH SURPRISE ...
-The first step was to write a story about empathy and human-animal bonding
- We worked in groups in our classrooms and computer Lab, using online technologies.
- We filmed three of our stories using: smartphones, videocameras, and different apps.
- Three shorts films were realized and the best one was selected by a commission of teachers.
-The winner film was selected for the immediacy of its message and the beauty of the landscape.
- This activity enabled us to develop our language skills and imagination, using new online technologies to get acquainted with them, we had great fun.

The Story
A  group of friends organizes a picnic. It's a beautiful  afternoon, Maria Pia, Antonio, Francesca, Federica, Guglielmo,  ..... after a long but  funny walk,  arrive  in “Pozzo di Nitti”.
Each of them is having fun ... playing…eating…running…laughing…joking…
…. But suddenly .... their laughters  are interrupted by some moans  coming from the wood.
Everybody,  curious  goes to see ... there's a little dog, he's tied to a tree, alone, desperate ... and ... hungry.
    They come close to him, untie , caress , give him some food and celebrate him!
They give him a name….. Lucky…..he’s Lucky!
They  are happy… chasing , playing  ...
 The dog with his sweetness conquers everyone.
 Then, the guys  question:
"But now what do we have to do? ... we can't leave him  here, ... we have to do something, .... we have to help him!
 One of them “Guglielmo says:  “I want to take care of him…..I’ll take him home with me!”
Everyone agrees….Guglielmo , happy, comes home with a great surprise…..
They all  come home happy  ….. happy to have finished  a beautiful day….. with a surprise…. the finding of a new friend!
Availability to others, new encounters, are important aspects of life that highlight feelings such as friendship, protection, solidarity, and especially love.
  The guys have done it ... We all should be like them!
