The Comprehensive Institute of San Fele – Secondary  School  participated to the sixth transnational mobility of the ERASMUS + PRET A PET Project

The mobility in Trikala – Greece included the presence of 4 teachers , the headmaster and 6 students of the classes II D and II F (M. G. GAMMA, A. MAZILU, A. TOZZI, A.  PITTARO, A. P. ROMANO, A. PIERRI). The students were  accompanied by the School Manager L. Rispoli, the coordinator of the project F. Petruzzelli  and the teachers, M. Pierri , C. Zappacosta and V. Urbino.

During this last mobility  various workshops  were organized and carried out by teachers and students:

  Visit  of an organization (which takes care of people with special need)  to share the Digital                   Book and the Emotional First Aid Kit
 “The empty space game”
   The intercultural night and  certificates.

Our students carried out all the activities  with great enthusiasm and collaboration spirit,  developing their curiosity and attention to the defence of the environment. They increased their comunicative, interactive and digital skills; English was the language used.
The first day our students  with  other groups of students performed by the sea the choreography for the flash mob; they won the competition as the best choreography.

The ”Empty space” game activity was realized by the students in mixed groups (not per country). They worked on topic “food chain”.The topic was about human’s negative intervention to the food chain and the problems that this intervention create. The last part was about our actions (personal, social or political) concerning the protection of the food chain.

The week spent  in Greece  included other activities too :
·        the visit of  Partenone in Athens;
·        the visit to the  school  and  the  meeting with the Mayor of Trikala;
·        the cultural visits  of the most important historical, artistic and monumental places  of the city of Trikala ( Museum of Tsitsani, Mosque,  Central bridge Asklipeiion,  Mepropolitan church,  Castle, Varousi);

·        the Visit of Pyli, the Stone Bridge and the Waterfalls.

 For  the intercultural evening, every country had a stand, showing the most important and repreventative objects and products of their culture and tradition.

Our students presented the flash mob  choreography which won the competiton.  Everything was done in a  climate of friendship, cheerfulness and conviviality.

This stay allowed us to enjoy the beauty of new places, we found hospitality, friendliness and new friendships, we all enriched ourselves.

In their journals, the students said that it was a gerat and interesting experience:
visit to a European country, meeting of peers from other nationalities, communication in English, discovery of new cultures and traditions, sharing  opinions with other peers about the protection of the environment and animals.
This was the last meeting  of “PRET-A-PET” and, at the end of the project,  we can say that every meeting, gave us the opportunity to know and  confront us with new realities, appreciating the different cultures and ways of life, in a spirit of understanding, acceptance, tolerance and friendship.

The experience of this project was  a great growth for each of us.
We hope to do other European Erasmus+ Projects in the future, we think  that sharing and comparing with people from other countries create a positive development in every field of knowledge.
